Tulsa, OK — FOX23, KRMG and the American Red Cross are partnering in the 14th Annual Tulsa Holiday Blood Drive. The two-day drive will be at the American Red Cross Blood Donation Center on December 20-21.
The need for blood donations is at a critical level for all blood types, as donations typically drop between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day, in addition to the strain of fighting the ongoing pandemic. Donors are needed to help ensure a stable blood supply for patients throughout the winter months.
Donate at the American Red Cross Tulsa Blood Donation Center just west of HWY169 on 11th Street, 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. on December 20th and 21st. Donors will need to schedule appointments ahead of time by visiting redcrossblood.org, calling 1-800-RED-CROSS, or registering through the Blood Donor app.
- All those coming to donate will receive a free, long-sleeve Red Cross T-shirt, while supplies last.
- When you give an hour of your time to donate blood, you can help save more than one life.
- Donating blood is a simple process and only takes about an hour from start to finish, but the actual donation itself only takes about 8-10 minutes.
