Arrest warrant issued for former OU running back Joe Mixon

HAMILTON COUNTY, Ohio. — An arrest warrant was issued Thursday for former Oklahoma Sooners running back Joe Mixon.

Court documents said Mixon threatened a woman with a firearm on Jan. 21 in Cincinnati, Ohio. The complaint said Mixon pointed the firearm at the victim, stating, “You should be popped in the face, I should shoot you, the police can’t get me.”

The warrant was issued by the Hamilton County Municipal Court. He faces the misdemeanor charge of aggravated menacing.

Mixon is currently a running back for the Cincinnati Bengals. During his time at the University of Oklahoma, he was suspended from the team during the 2014 season for assaulting a woman at a restaurant on Norman’s Campus Corner.
