St. Jude Walk/Run happening Saturday at ONEOK Field

TULSA, Okla. — Shoes will hit the pavement for a good cause at the 2022 St. Jude Walk/Run on Saturday.

The walk takes off at 10 a.m. from inside ONEOK Field in downtown Tulsa.

The alternative country group VOTH is set to perform on stage near Elgin and Reconciliation Way after everyone crosses the finish line.

The band is made up of siblings Cody Voth, Caleb Voth and Hannah Pepin.

“It’s kind of this pop, gritty, country, harmony vibe,” said Hannah.

They are excited to be back at this year’s St. Jude Walk/Run, after their performance got rained out at the walk in 2019.

“The world shut down and we didn’t have the chance to do a lot of full band shows, so this is one of the few we’re back full band,” said Caleb. “We’re coming out loud. It’s going to be amazing.”

The brothers just moved to Nashville. “It’s been equally inspiring and challenging. It’s made us better artists, singers songwriters,” said Cody.

Hannah and her husband, Mark, who is VOTH’s manager, make the drive from Tulsa to Nashville about once a month.

“Every time we drive to Nashville, we pass Memphis and St. Jude and we pray for miracles and healing for those kids,” said Hannah.

At the walk in 2019, they met local St. Jude patient, Alexander Bolding.

“Our church had been praying for this little boy, Alexander ... We showed up here to perform and he’s cancer free,” said Hannah. “We got close to it and we got to see what these kids are fighting on a daily basis, and then getting to perform and cheer them on, it’s amazing.”

You can see the free concert around noon on Saturday at the corner of Elgin and Reconciliation Way in downtown Tulsa.

You can make a donation to the event here. All proceeds go to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
