‘Never seen anything like it;’ Okmulgee police continue to search for four missing men

OKMULGEE, Okla. — Okmulgee police chief Joe Prentice has offered an update as the search continues for four men who were reported missing earlier this week.

Investigators spent much of Thursday gathering video and GPS information.

Despite witnesses saying they’ve seen the men around town, none of the sightings have been confirmed.

Next, investigators will begin viewing the video and GPS data. As of right now, the Okmulgee police department is preparing warrants for Facebook account data and phone records.

Investigators have also checked the men’s bank records and account activity.

Prentice said without hard evidence, it will be difficult to coordinate where to search. During an interview, Prentice said he’s never seen anything like this in his decades-long career.
