Owasso eighth grader creates ‘Freedom Tree’ honoring President Trump

OWASSO, Okla. — An Owasso eighth grader created a “Freedom Tree” to honor President Donald Trump this Christmas.

McKenna Hatfield and her family wanted to show their support for President Trump.

They decorated a Christmas tree in their home with patriotic colors and star ornaments and topped it off with a mask of the president’s likeness.

She laughed when she admitted the mask is not the most flattering likeness of the president but the best they could find on Amazon.

Hatfield, wearing a “Hidin’ from Biden” sweatshirt, told FOX23′s Shae Rozzi, “Really the reason why we’re doing this is because Trump symbolizes our freedom, that’s what he stands for as President of the United States.”

Hatfield said she wanted to create the tree to express how she feels without, “shoving it down people’s throats.”

Hatfield is hoping the president sees her tree, she emailed a picture to the White House and tagged the president in an Instagram post.

When asked what she would tell the President if he saw her tree or our interview about it, she said, “I would tell him I love him, that we support you and that you are amazing overall and I agree with everything you stand for.”
