NASA says while the space station is always up there, being able to see it is all about the timing. The space station is visible because it reflects the light from the Sun, similar to the Moon. As such, it can range from one sighting opportunity a month to several a week.

NASA provides a map to follow along. Saturday, plan to look up just after 7pm. The space station should be visible for six to seven minutes.
