Police say 2 men in custody after string of burglaries in midtown Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa police said two men were taken in for questioning after a string of reported burglaries in midtown Tulsa Wednesday morning.

Police said they were called to the first burglary around 3:30 a.m. at a jewelry store at East 35th Place and South Peoria Avenue. One minute later, police were called to an attempted burglary at a nail salon at East 41st Street and South Quincy Avenue. Witnesses said a burglary suspect was seen getting into a silver car that got away.

About 30 minutes later, just after 4 a.m., police were called to a burglary at a hair salon near East 15th Street and South Peoria Avenue. Officers got to the scene quickly and apprehended two men in a silver car that matched a previous witness description. Police said loot from the hair salon burglary was found inside the car.

Police said the men were take to the detective division for further questioning, and to possibly link them to more burglaries that happened this week. No arrests have been made.
