Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure held Saturday

TULSA, Okla. — Susan G. Komen, the world’s leading breast cancer organization, held its Tulsa Race for the Cure on Saturday.

Proceeds from the Race will advance Komen’s mission by raising critical funds that provide direct services to address the economic, medical, social and emotional impact of a breast cancer diagnosis, organizers said.

The Tulsa Fire Department Honor Guard had the pleasure of presenting colors at the event.

Tulsa Fire Department Lieutenant Victor Grimes and Captain Brandon Potter said they were thankful to be a part of such an inspiring event.

“We had the great pleasure of representing the Tulsa Fire Department Honor Guard to present the colors at the Susan G. Komen Oklahoma Race For The Cure,” Lieutenant Victor Grimes said. “The strength and resilience of these survivors left me in awe! Praying many blessings for everyone fighting this battle.”

This year’s race raised $168,284.52.
