Tulsa’s Bravest; local brewery hosts event to honor Tulsa firefighter battling cancer

TULSA, Okla. — The community continues to pull together to help a young Tulsa firefighter battling cancer.

FOX23 Evening Anchor Sara Whaley told you about Harrison Moseby in April.

On March 4th he was diagnosed with Epithelioid Sarcoma.

Since then fellow firefighters and the community have organized several fundraisers to help the family pay for medical expenses.

Saturday, May 7, from 6-10 p.m., the Dead Armadillo Brewery’s “Tulsa Flag Blonde Ale” will be renamed, for one night, as “Tulsa’s Bravest” in the taproom. Proceeds of all beer will go to Moseby.

The public is invited to the event located at 1004 East 4th Street. There will be live music and a food truck.

Moseby has had surgery to remove the tumor and the surrounding affected area of deltoid muscle. Unfortunately, the pathology results showed microscopic cancer cells still present.

He also had an infection after surgery, but he tells FOX23 he’s now feeling better and is ready to continue fighting.
