BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — Bill and Lisa Woolley’s grandson was taken out of their home and placed in foster care four years ago following the death of their other grandson in their home.

Criminal charges including murder and child sex abuse were dropped against the couple last year.
They are working with their daughter for her to regain guardianship of her son from foster care. The family wants the judge to recuse herself in the guardianship case claiming bias.

The family also claims the judge is breaking the law by not holding an emergency protective hearing for the boy within 72 hours as the state statute requires. They filed a motion for the hearing weeks ago after a neighbor of the foster family contacted the Woolley family and stated the boy tries to run away, harm himself and says he’s kept locked up. While charges have been dropped, the state is keeping the criminal case open against Bill and Lisa Woolley. The Wagoner County district attorney says the state has also investigated new information.
The assistant to the judge being asked to recuse herself says the judge cannot comment on confidential matters and said no comment to accusations of bias.
