Booker T. grad Bryce Thompson transferring away from Jayhawks

Kansas Jayhawk guard and former Booker T. star Bryce Thompson announced on social media Tuesday he is transferring away from Kansas.

Thompson was a five-star recruit out of Booker T. last year. He averaged 4.9 points and 1.6 rebounds in 18 games in his one season playing for the Jayhawks. He started two games.

Oklahoma State and Oklahoma were both in Thompson’s final four choices out of high school, along with North Carolina. Bryce’s dad Rod played basketball at TU, and his mom was also an athlete at Tulsa. Oral Roberts -- fresh off its trip to the Sweet 16 -- is also a possible destination for Thompson
