Flash Flood Watch for Osage, Washington, Nowata, Craig, Ottawa, Pawnee, Tulsa, Rogers Mayes, Delaware, Creek, Okfuskee, Okmulgee, Wagoner Counties until 4 AM Monday

Severe weather looks LIKELY this evening and tonight across Green Country with all threats of severe weather possible.

Severe storms will develop in SW Oklahoma late this afternoon, then race quickly east to northeast this evening/tonight. These storms will initially go up as powerful individual supercells capable of very large hail, tornadoes, and damaging wind gusts. As the storms track east, they’ll start to merge into a line, especially as they get east of I-35. That said, even within this line of storms, embedded circulations/tornadoes look possible, if not likely, because of the high amount of wind shear expected.

Storms may approach western portions of Green Country as early 7-8pm. Highway 75 (including Tulsa) between 9-11pm, and nearing the Missouri and Arkansas state lines after midnight.

As the upper level low associated with this system sweeps through, another round of storms may move through after midnight.

TIMING: Storms arriving late Sunday evening, after dark. Storms exit Oklahoma in the early morning hours of Monday.

THREATS: All severe threats are possible along with localized.
