Bike rental company rolling into downtown Broken Arrow

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — A Tulsa nonprofit, This Machine, is bringing its bike share services in Broken Arrow’s Rose District on July 1.

The Broken Arrow satellite bike share is fully integrated with its THIS MACHINE App, which will seamlessly connect residents and visitors with bike share in both Broken Arrow and Tulsa communities.

“It’s pretty impressive to be launching bike share in Broken Arrow just four months after the city council’s vote,” said This Machine Executive Director, Katie Sawicki.

The Rose District will be home to 10 rental stations with a total of 40 electric pedal assist bikes.

This Machine comes to Broken Arrow four years after launching its first bike share in Tulsa in 2018 and looks to expand to New Orleans Square the following year.

“We have been getting the word out at events for the last month and it’s fun to see how excited Broken Arrow residents are about This Machine coming to town, we’re excited too,” said Sawicki.

The Broken Arrow bike share system will connect seamlessly to the Tulsa bike share system and bikes will be available to be checked out by phone using the THIS MACHINE App.

Prices for the bike rentals will be two dollars to unlock and for the first 10 minutes of rides and then $0.15/minute.

The partnership between Broken Arrow and This Machine hopes to bring a low cost and environmental friendly transportation option to the Rose District.
