FC Tulsa match against Monterey Bay F.C. rescheduled

TULSA, Okla. — The FC Tulsa match against Monterey Bay F.C. has been rescheduled to Wednesday, Oct. 12 at ONEOK Field, according to an FC Tulsa press release.

The release said kick off is at 7:30 p.m. and any tickets purchased for the Oct. 8 match will be honored on Wednesday. Digital tickets will be automatically updated to reflect the new date. Any fans with physical tickets will be granted entrance at the stadium gate.

The match was originally set for Oct. 8, but was postponed after Monterey Bay F.C. players “voted to postpone the fixture in the midst of the USL Championship’s investigation into allegations of racial language and gestures directly following the conclusion of the match on Sunday, October 2.”

On Oct. 2, Monterey Bay F.C played the Tampa Bay Rowdies. After the match, the USL opened an investigation “into allegations of foul and abusive language on the field” during the match between the two.
