Man in critical condition after shooting in north Tulsa, police say

TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa Police are investigating a shooting in a neighborhood near East Apache and North Peoria.

Police at the scene told FOX23 a man is in critical condition after being shot Monday afternoon. While the man was found at a north Tulsa home, police are unsure if the shooting took place there.

The victim, according to police, is in his 40s and does not live at the home where he was found.

“It appears that he had run up onto the porch, seeking help after he had been shot. The occupants, residents of the home, were interviewed and released from the scene, at this time we don’t believe that they’re going to be involved,” said Captain Thomas Bell with the Tulsa Police Department.

Captain Bell said they’re looking for a person wearing dark clothes seen running away from the scene.

“We’ve yet to find any direct witnesses to the incident, however we’ve had multiple residents telling us that they saw a subject running north from the area right after the shooting occurred, we’re still currently trying to locate that individual and interview them,” he said.
