Tula police search for suspect in business break-ins

TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa police are searching for a man suspected of breaking into a south Tulsa business Saturday night.

Police responded to a burglary call at the Harvard Park shopping center near 81st and Harvard around 10 p.m.

Officers said they found broken glass and damage to property, at both Yum Eats and Sweets and the neighboring Levitate Bungee Fitness center.

Police tried to find the suspect with the help of a K-9 team, but they weren’t able to locate the burglar.

Tracy Ogg, who owns Yum Sweets and Treats said thieves break in take what they want, leaving them to pick up the pieces.

“[I feel] almost hopeless, like what can you do as a business, as a small business to stop this,” Ogg said.

Ogg said she believes it’s the same person who has broken into their business before.

“It’s the same guy,” Ogg said. “I’ve got him on camera four times, because after the second burglary, he came to the back door on a bicycle looking around.”

Police said they hope the surveillance video will lead them to whoever keeps breaking into these businesses.

If you know anything that can help police catch the burglar, call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
