TULSA, Okla. — Oklahomans have divided reactions about the recent SCOTUS decision which overturned Roe v. Wade.
The decision also activated trigger laws in more than a dozen states, including Oklahoma. These laws immediately outlaw the practice of abortion except in the case of medical emergency.
In downtown Tulsa, FOX23 was able to find some who oppose this decision.
“It’s an absolutely horrifying decision, as far as people with female reproductive organs, this is a walk back, it’s 50 years of protections that have been stripped from us,” said Kae Boro.
“It’s my body, I should be able to do what I want with it,” said Katie Ramey.
Others have said that they support the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.
“Oklahoma is indeed the most pro life state in the nation and we hope that other states will follow our lead and take care of women in a crisis pregnancy,” said Oklahoma Attorney General John O’Connor.
