OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — More than 1,000 people are expected to attend Okla. Gov. Kevin Stitt’s third and final inaugural ball to celebrate the beginning of his second term.
The final ball is being hosted in Oklahoma City Monday evening at the Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. The event is currently sold out.
A spokesperson for Gov. Stitt said this was an easy choice for the ball because the governor wanted to capture the rich history of Oklahoma.
Stitt also chose Oklahoman artists to perform at each ball for entertainment, including the final event. All three artists have roots in red dirt country music.
The Oklahoma City ball is featuring Stoney LaRue, who lives in Stillwater. Larue is a country artist who has sold over one million albums, and he plays 200 live shows across the U.S> each year.
He was recently in Tulsa to perform at Cain’s Ballroom.
Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt, State Superintendent Ryan Walters and other, U.S. lawmakers will be in attendance.
